The Winter Warmer Selection

Need a treat to beat the winter blues, or a gift to cheer someone up whilst the days are cold and short? Saporista's Winter Warmer selection will hit the spot! We've paired NINE ELMS No.18, winner of 2020's Imbibe 'No and Low Alcohol' award, with sweet almond treats from Spain. NINE ELMS No.18 is a skilful blend of berries, botanical extracts and 20 different flowers and herbs, that results in a sophisticated drink that is differently delicious. As an added bonus it's alcohol free, low calorie and contains no added sugar, so need to feel guilty when indulging yourself with the luxurious caramelised and chocolate-covered almonds.

  • 75 cl bottle of NINE ELMS No.18, an intricately crafted, alcohol free drink created in London.
  • A jar of Les Garrigues 'Choco-Lux' almonds. Harvested in the Maials regions in Lleida, Spain and locally covered with sugar, dark chocolate and cocoa powder, these are a really luxurious treat.
  • A jar of Les Garrigues Almendra Caramalizada. The almonds are soft toasted, and then caramelised with a thin layer of transparent sugar that creates a delcious sweet taste but still allows the authentic taste and flavour of the nut to come through. These are without doubt the best caramelised almonds that the Saporista team have experienced!

This selection of Saporista-sourced artisan treats will arrive in a beautifully designed, UK produced gift box, made from re-cycled cardboardperfect for keeping and re-using to store other special stuff in.

We thoroughly recommend creating Mulled Nine to warm up the occasion! Just follow the recipe below:

  • 1 bottle Nine Elms No.18

  • 5ml ginger cordial, or a large piece of ginger

  • 1 whole dried chipotle, ancho or mulato chilli

  • 1 cinnamon quill

  • 2 whole star anise

  • 7 whole dried allspice berries

  • 3 cloves

  • 30-60g (to taste) light brown sugar

  • A large orange twist

  • Make an incision in the chilli so that its smoky heat can mingle with the liquid.

  • Add all ingredients, including the chilli to a heavy bottom pot, and gently bring to a simmer for 20 minutes or so, stirring occasionally to dissolve the sugar. Remove the chilli early if you want a less intense spicy kick.

  • Ladle into heat proof glasses, and garnish with another orange twist.
